It is a ridiculous spectacle in Congress, as several larger truths emerge. The Republicans are a complete mess. The absence of responsible leadership is obvious.
Yet, both Democrats and Republicans have been in serious combat with their respective fringe members. Both parties continue to harbor and uplift slimy weasel types like Green and Shiff and Goetz- there so many lowlifes in public office today, few are worthy.
The Speaker fight will soon resolve with an eventual winner. The bruised factions will bandage their cuts and feign truce. But, the public is left with another new year, and the same political game of partisan interests, sensational drama of no useful purpose, as so comically captioned by the superficial network headlines, the daily shouting with no substance.
